The mountain girl Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan with its Simple picturesque people is the subject of this documentary. starting with the opening of the Gangtok-Nathulla Road, the documentary revolves round the historic visit of Prime Minister Nehru to Bhutan and the warm welcome extended to him by the Maharajah,the royal family and the people of Bhutan.

This Documentary gives the viewer impressions of Shantiniketan, an institute for the arts established by the poet and artist Rabindranath Tagore in 1901 at Bolpur (Currently in West Bengal), not far from Calcutta (Kolkata). The school gradually came to be known as Vishva Bharati.
