Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru Visits Sikkim, Tibet and Bhutan in 1958 - Films Division Documentary
The mountain girl Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan with its Simple picturesque people is the subject of this documentary. starting with the opening of the Gangtok-Nathulla Road, the documentary revolves round the historic visit of Prime Minister Nehru to Bhutan and the warm welcome extended to him by the Maharajah,the royal family and the people of Bhutan.

Ugyen Wangchuck was the first king of Bhutan (1907 - 1926). For his services in mediating between the British and Tibetans during the Younghusband Expedition to Lhasa, Tibet, he was given knighthood by the British in 1904. Know more about him in Wikipedia
