This Bridge was built by Newab Ausuf-ood-dowlah, about the 1780. It is a substantial structure and has proved its durability by not requiring any repairs since it was built. It has no particular claims to architectural beauty, but the view from its parapets, up and down the river Goomptee, is extremely picturesque.
